Art Prints by Christine Rosamond - Paintings of Women
Think
art prints by Christine Rosamond
and you immediately think of
art works touching on femininity.
Christine Rosamond had that special talent of creating
art works that capture those seemingly 'everyday' moments but when put on canvas reveal a very touching and light nature.
Christine Rosamond is known for her
paintings of woman or womanhood.
Christine Rosamond's stint started during the 1970s when she joined an art fair in Los Angeles. Her
art works have a touch of femininity in it expressed through soft shades and rich fabrics which create a texture that makes you touch and feel it. Her paintings are noted by the use of negative spaces and frame to the central image. Rosamond's paintings talk about her own experiences as well as other women's stories of their lives.
Rosamond became one of the most published artists by 1976. Forty limited editions of her
art works have been published since 1974. Blue Ice, Circa 1980, Lena and Her Sister, Simone, Rosemary 1950, among others, are just a few of Rosamond's paintings.
Rosamond's fame was instant and nobody was more shocked than Rosamond herself which perhaps added an even more 'humble' and 'real' persona to her paintings. Sadly, Rosamond's fame was as instant as her death. By the age of 46, Rosamond drowned at the Big Sun Coast in Northern California ending a brilliant career that many claim was just at its beginnings.
