William Blake's Art Prints

William Blake is a highly regarded artist, with original and very imaginative artworks. His art prints were characterized by sweeping lines and strong rhythms. He is best known in the field of painting for his illustrations on Dante's Divine Comedy and his scenes from the Old Testament. Being somewhat mystical and spiritual, Blake took inspiration from the Bible and was known to be an intense visionary who managed to see harmony and a continuous link between and among all living forms.

His paintings have been classified as Baroque art prints given the heavy use of flowery lines and swirling patterns. However, Blake is better known for his poetry, such as The Tiger and The Lamb.
