Abstract Artwork - Simplify or Exaggerate?According to that fountain of knowledge called Wikipedia, abstract artwork is art that does not represent anything that you would normally see in front of your eyes. The technique to produce abstract art is defined as abstraction which is defined as an idea or concept used to define the object or event. Confused? It's really not hard to understand. Look at it this way - say you went up the Himalayas and feel nothing but peace up those tranquil mountains. You then extract the notion of peace out of that event right? So you get a peace of paper and probably draw yourself in a hammock or reading a book, ANYTHING to make you capture that feeling on paper and voila! you have your abstract art. Of course, you can also just use your feelings, if the color light blue (to remind you of clouds) is enough to make you recapture what you felt up the hills, then by all means, just doodle with this color on a canvas and ta-da! another abstract painting! Abstract Artwork - Easier Imagined Than DoneAbstract art is that branch of art where you have total freedom to either simplify an object or event or exaggerate it. Alas, not all of us are blessed with the creative talent but have no fear. There are many others who can capture that moment for you just browse online and you'll soon find out what I mean. Many people do not like abstract art because they don't understand it. Well, that's the beauty of it, you understand it only when it speaks to you.
