Probably one of the most bizarre choices of subject is the pelican bird. Brown in color, pelicans are the smallest members of the pelican family.
So how do they gain attention in the art world? Probably because these ungainly, comical birds suddenly become so graceful creatures in flight as they hunt for food or take a dive in the ocean.
While not a popular choice of subject, there are several pelican paintings in the market, either as a depiction of wildlife or some means to make fun of these amusing creatures.

Pelican artworks may not be all the rage but they do exist in your locale. A quick look in your city's Yellow Pages or online can easily inform you where you can get art prints or paintings of pelicans .
There are even galleries (online and offline) devoted to various birds of the wild and you are sure to see a pelican painting in their galleries.
If, by chance, you don't find any pelican painting or art print that suits you then why not commission a painter to do it for you?
As a pelican enthusiast, I'm sure you have quite a few photos take of the pelican in the wild or during flight so you can just as easily send the artist your pelican photo and have him reproduce it in the medium that you like best.
The main advantage here is of course, you get to dictate exactly what you like. Just ensure that you are convinced the artist can do a great job for you.
