Original Native American Paintings by American Indian Artists

Common examples include tepee paintings, pottery designs, and more. A lot of early Native American artworks are not movable or transportable like paintings on a cliff's face or inside cave dwellings.

In dealing with Native American artworks you will often come across the term Navajo sand painting. Also called dry paintings, this art has origins in religious and healing ceremonies.
