Animal drawings are popular for animal lovers. Drawings are usually done of pets such as dogs, cats, horses, or birds.
Aside from a drawing of a pet dog or horse, drawings of wild animals such as a zebra, a lion or other wildlife animals can be found. When drawing animals, don't get discouraged because you're not happy with how your first drawings turn out.
Practice always makes for a better artist. Below are a few tips for drawing animals realistically.
Tip no. 1:
Look at other artists while they are drawing . By viewing other people and how they make their drawings , you can get a feel for how the artist works.
Observe how one artist does eyes or how they do the texture of the fur then try it yourself. A lot of artists began drawing by copying other artists.
This is just to start you off of course. Later on, you need to find your own unique drawing skills.
Tip no. 2:
Furry animals are not easy to draw . The texture of fur can be tricky. Paws, foot shape, style and tail placement are all tricky to draw . Try and make repeat sketches first of the body parts of your pets . This way, you get to familiarize or develop your own way of drawing .
Tip no. 3:
Try different materials. Use pencils, paint, markers, pastel, ink, etc.
