Inuyusha is the main star of the Japanese cartoon of the same name. Drawings of Inuyasha and other characters in the comic are extremely popular.
Inuyasha started off in 2000 but it became so popular that four Inuyasha movies and a television special were later produced just to satisfy fans.
I guess the charm of this comic character is that it is funny and loaded with action, romance, and surprises.
What?
You don't know about Inuyasha?
The story begins when Kagome Higurashi falls down on the grounds of her family's shrine and finds a world filled with sorcerers and demons in feudal Japan.
Kagome meets Inuyasha, a kind-hearted half demon who is also the hero of the show, and begins searching for the shards of a sacred jewel with which her fate has become entwined.
Drawing Inuyasha, or any other comic character for that matter, takes practice. Below are a few tips for drawing Japanese characters.
Tip no. 1:
Get to know the character. If you read Manga (Japanese comics) a lot, you might think you know your character. Nothing is better than drawing to really learn the individual shape of a character.
Tip no. 2:
Concentrate on drawing one comic character repeatedly. By drawing one character often, you'll always draw them correctly.
Tip no. 3:
Collect a scrapbook of cartoons for reference.
Tip no. 4:
Try drawing the face from every angle. After drawing, look at it from all sides, or turn it upside down even so you see all angles.
Tip no. 5:
Try drawing characters in different movements (e.g., sitting, standing, drawing a weapon, etc.)
