Van Gogh Paintings : A World Apart

Dutch painter Vincent van Gogh could be called a lot of things, but arguably the most important was that he was such a creator of famous art.

However, during his later years, van Gogh was depicted by some as an eccentric fool, a man who was nothing less than crazy.

You see, at one point in his life, van Gogh had cut his ear off as a reaction to his words having fallen to a deaf ear of a friend. Can a crazy person have been able to create these world-known van Gogh paintings?

It's hard to understand how this crazy , eccentric man could ever come up with such a sophisticated landscape of paintings, but one should not immediately judge van Gogh by that eccentric " ear incident."

Avoid turning a deaf ear , and the truth will suddenly dawn like the sun . The life which van Gogh lived was filled with moments of depression and desperation.

He had valued some people and things in his life, to what some may call an extreme degree.

This would be the cause of some of his eccentric actions, leading to his being put in an asylum where his only respite would be painting.

His paintings could then have been so closely intertwined with who he was that he had inculcated a piece of himself unto each piece. Try viewing one of his works and you might just see remarkable beauty, both in the painting and the man.
