Just how great or valuable are Picasso paintings? They are of such immense importance that when the words blue , cubist or abstract are mentioned, the famous Pablo Picasso and his renowned classic works would instantly cross the mind of the art connoisseur.
A painting of Picasso may have attained the point wherein even a common individual may instantly say that it is renowned , a classic , is abstract and very expensive, without really having seen any of his works.
One of the funniest things about Picasso and his works is that most people may be more appreciative of their expensive price tags rather than the beauty presented by these abstract pieces.
Some say that the drawings do not depict reality, but maybe these works were intentionally made to veer from this usual expectation.
These renowned classic pieces are also said by some to be the doodles of a child. Nothing can be farther from the truth.
To prove this, one can photocopy a picture of his painting in a book, and then, placing tracing paper on top of the photocopied material, try to accurately reproduce the abstract painting, with the same light and dark strokes.
It would be much harder than it looks to be able to replicate the piece. Hopefully, more people will be aware of the great effort that was required in the creation of these Picasso paintings, and be awed at how the misunderstood man had remained strong amidst the criticisms of his time.
